Diane von Fürstenberg hercegnő, a híres belga-amerikai divattervező egy koncentrációs táborban született, édesanyja, Liliane Nahmias görög származású Holocaust túlélő.



A tetoválás egy ősrégi procedúra, mely régen az akupunkturás pontokra került, hogy jótékony hatással legyen.

Az öltözködésben a legnagyobb változás a rokokó és empír stílusok között történt. Napoléon Bonaparte udvarában kezdődött a szűzies, lágy, lenge stílusirányzat. A hölgyek sokszor benedvesítették ruháikat, hogy az jobban tapadjon testükre. Ez azonban az ottani időjárásra nézve nem bizonyosult jó ötletnek => női nemi megbetegedések.

LoveUrStyle - 1st part: Réka Vágó - Queen of heels

Réka Vágó is one of the best and the most popular shoemakers in Hungary. Réka dazzle us  with a beautiful collection every season, but recently she is cooperating with other companies as well, like Maybelline or Puma.

She was three years old when she got her first little dancing shoes. After that Réka Vágó spent years with ballroom and ballett dancing and so she could experience how a pair of shoes should be built up and look like. In many cases she designed her own shoes and clothes for her dance action / performance.
She decided to be a shoe-designer in her 19´s.

She was admitted to the University of Applied Arts in Budapest. After the first year she specialized for leather, becuase it is easier to work with leather than with textile. Réka liked also that she could create her works in 3D, so she was studing at sculptor András Mohácsi, too. In summer she was on a professional practice at an ortopedic shoe industry, where she was learning patterns.

 Réka has won many schoolerships, so she studied 4 months at London College of Fashion, in Bratislava at Art University (VŠVU) and she finished her Ma at Moholy-Nagy Art University in 2003. Since then she worked for Tisza and for Juhos Boutique.

In 2005 Réka Vágó launched her own rekavago brand with a ready-to-walk and a couture collection. .

Nowadays, she based her new brand R by rekavago, which is youthful, vagant and casual.

In 2011 she wants to create her first man collection in her life, because it is required by men. The collection will be classical but/and  sporty as well.

Rekavago shoes are made to accentuate the beauty of a woman’s leg. These shoes are always charming and recognisable  – showing the image of a glamourous and self-confident woman, who has humour and lives her life playfully.

Since finishing university she cooperated and showed off collections in Hungary and also around Europe with many designers, like Kiren Passi (The Graduate Fashion Show, London, 2004), Bori Tóth (2005 spring-summer, Budapest&Weissensee), Aquanauta (Pure Source’06 spring-summer, Budapest&London) and Anna Péter (Spring-summer 2007, Budapest).

When she needs to create a new collection, she collects things, what she likes, in what she is interested. After, she makes a story inspired by these objects , than she choose a colour, a shape  which characterize her feelings. She is always experimenting with new materials and heels.
Réka:
„It’s funny how Alice returns into my life time by time. In my 2005 Spring collection I was inspired by her adventures and designed sandals with keyholes and key decoration and I put playing card symbols on my bags. But the all time favorite was the a high-heel called the “Key to Men’s Heart” – it got the name because the heel itself  was key.“

Réka is special, because she knows not only design shoes, but the technology, too, like the world-famous designer Manolo Blahnik. Her idol Beth Levine american shoe-designer.
Réka says that women need two kinds of shoes: ones for hurrying to work and others to get late from dates/meetings.
Réka shoes are really elegant, comfortable, friendly for our back.

Maybelline & Reka Vago trend selection

As you all may know the Maybelline is the official sponsor of New York Fashion Week. But what is maybe new for all of you is that Maybelline has chosen rekavago as official hungarian partner for presenting the new 2010 fall fashion trends .The models  were bit scarred: being naked even behind a piece of paper is never easy. But the brand wanted to show us how the accessories define the style of  our out-fit. Also they are important because without them the girls would be really nude.
Réka is  very proud of working together such a big brand.

The project was to make a photo shooting together showing the fashion trends for young, energetic and sexy girls living in big cities. Her  last campaing shooting was in NYC so everybody in the brand was  very up-dated and full with energy. Maybe the model girls were a bit frightened of the concept.

                            Réka became the Ambassador of Puma

Puma has chosen Réka for being a fashion ambassador in Hungary for them. Luckily her  favorite sport brand was always Puma and she is happy that she does not have to say anything else. So finally she could design her first own Puma Basket on Mongolian Shoe BBQ. The premier of shoes was 25th november 2010.

  Réka designs and produces elegant, playful, comfortable shoes. She emphasises not only design, but the health of our legs and back, too. For me these things are the most important, I mean create something wich is wearable, comfortable, trendy and healthy together. These are causes why Réka belongs to my favourite shoe-designers.

Skin on skin - Avagy a visszafogott extravagancia :D

Nem csak a kígyó, hanem a bőre is egy elég veszélyes dolog. Főleg, ha valami szépet akarunk belőle alkotni, ami elegáns,  ízléses, diszkrét pontosan annyi pikanciával,amennyire szükség van! A kígyóbőr elengedhetetlen velejárója, hogy szexi :) és luxust sugároz!
"Mivel is kombináljam ezt az anyagot?! Háááát.... legyen az az anyag totális ellentéte, viszont legyen bennük azért vmi közös is..." így esett a választás a muszlinra. Könnyű (ezért alkalmas a spring/summer collection-be), áttetsző (=szexi), kifinomult, érzékeny anyag. Finoman kell vele bánni csakúgy mint a bőrrel. A tüll és a csipke meg kb. állandó slágerek.. és hogy a klasszikus rész se hiányozzon egy kis pamutot is belevittünk ...
Úgy hiszem ennek a kollekciónak még lesz folytatása, ugyanis túl sok a még  meg nem valósítatott ötlet :D

Eco crazy collection

2011 - új év - új ötlet

Sokat hallunk az újrahasznosításról, egyre nagyobb veszélyben van a hulladék miatt a Földünk. Így jutottam el az ötletig, hogy a kollekciómat újrahasznosított dolgokból készítsem el, mint a zacskó, kupakok, sörnyitók, műanyag táskák, szivacsok, polieszter...A tervezők haute couture kollekciói általában hordhatatlanok, mivel nem az utcára készülnek, hanem "csak" irányt adnak. Ezek az alkotások határozzák meg a ready-to-wear ruhadarbjaikat az alkotóknak, melyek később a boltokban kaphatóak. Ha már úgyis csak egy bemutató, egy fotózás erejéig van szükség szegény művekre és utána kidobásra kerülnek, akkor kíméljük környezetünket és próbálkozhatnánk hulladék-ruhákkal is...hogy mit sikerült kihoznom ebből az ötletből?! Íme:

Ebben a blogban megtekinthetitek munkáimat (Boďa design illetve Pinke Prêt-à-porter - PPaP), hogy mivel inspirálódtam, kedvenc művészeimet, illetve műalkotásaikat, amelyek számomra nagy értékűek! Egyszóval betekintést nyerhettek az éltető elemeimbe :)

Rólam:
20 éves lány vagyok egy Perbete nevű faluból. Pici korom óta érdekel a művészet,  legfőbbképp a tervezés (így most ezt is tanulom egyetemen). Minden vonzz, ami ezzel kapcsolatos. Csak remélni tudom, hogy munkáim elnyerik tetszésetek :) Várom az építő jellegű kritikákat, hozzászólásokat, felkéréseket (nem csak ruhára :) )
